In this video, I’m going to talk to you about how to pronounce words with a silent ‘d’ in English.
There are so many words in English that are actually spelled with a ‘d’
For example, if I say the word, ‘judge’, the ‘d’ is silent.
It’s spelled with a ‘d’, but I don’t actually pronounce it.
Another example would be the word ‘sandwich’.
It’s written with a ‘d’, but you don’t actually pronounce it.
I have a list of the most common words.
So let’s get started.
Now remember, ‘knowledge’ contains a silent ‘k’ as well.
Let’s now move on to sentences.
So let’s now practice pronouncing our silent ‘d’ words in sentences.
I put the porridge and sandwich in the fridge.
We adjust our budget every Wednesday.
He acknowledges that the judge has knowledge.
