Ok, so let's look at 2 more prepositions,

adjectives and prepositions

that comes after the adjectives.

So we've looked at about, and

we've looked atat“, so let's

look atof“.

So I've six adjectives that come

before the prepositionof“.

AFRAID OF

ASHAMED OF

AWARE OF

CAPABLE OF

FOND OF

JEALOUS OF.

Soafraid of“, you're

afraid of something.

Afraid being, you have fear.

I'm afraid of dogs, I'm afraid

of the dark, I'm afraid walking

home alone very late at night,

I'm afraid of ghosts, so you're

afraid of something.

Something that makes you afraid.

You're afraid of this.

Ashames of“, so ashamed being a

feeling something you're not

proud of, something you

don't like to think of.

Something that you do or you have done

that makes you feel ashamed.

You don't feel pride.

You're not proud of yourself.

I'm ashamed of the way I spoke to my father.

I'm ashamed of lying to my father.

I'm ashamed of taking money from the shop.

You're ashamed of something.

These are things I've never done,

but they're just examples.

You'reaware ofsomething, so

aware being that you know that

this is happening.

It's not something that you don't know about.

You're aware of this.

I'm aware of the problems in the world.

I'm aware of the problems in Africa.

I'm aware of the problem here.

I'm aware of the train strike,

I'm aware of this, I know about this.

Capable of“, so capable means

Something you feel you can do.

I'm capable of learning English.

I'm capable of minding the children.

I'm capable of doing this job.

I'm capable of killing someone.

Fond of“, so fond being something

or someone that you like.

I'm fond of the chocolate.

I'm also fond of someone, someone

that you work with.

I'm fond of her or I'm fond of him, or

you might be fond of doing something.

I'm fond of going for a walk on a Sunday afternoon.

And finallyjealous of“, so jealous being

a feeling either you want that they

have or you want to be like them.

I'm jealous of my sister.

I'm jealous of my friend, she has a

brilliant job, she's very happy,

I'm jealous of her.

I'm jalous of their life,

they're always going on

holidays, my two friends.

I'm jealous of them.

So these are different adjectives,

a lot of them different feeling,

describing how we feel

in relation to other people.

So let's look at one more preposition.

So the preposition WITH.

Here we have five adjectives and

they're all followed by with.

You'll notice that we've seen some

of these adjectives before.

So let's look at them.

ANGRY WITH

ANNOYED WITH

HAPPY WITH

OBSESSED WITH

PREOCCUPIED WITH.

So we've seen the firs few

adjectives before, what other

prepositions come after these adjectives.

Can you remember?

We had angry about and angry at.

So, what's the difference then between

angry about, angry at and angry with.

Well angry about, we're angry about something,

angry about a situation.

Angry at, I'm angry at someone, a person.

So similar to angry at we're going to use

angry with followed by someone.

I'm angry with my brother.

I'm angry with the man in the shop.

I'm angry with the children.

They did something and it upset me,

it hurt me, I'm angry with them.

Similar to annoyed with is we're

annoyed with someone or we

can say we're annoyed at someone.

I'm annoyed with my sister.

I'm annoyed with my boss, he didn't

listen to me, I'm annoyed with him.

So we're annoyed with someone.

Happy withm we can be happy with my job.

I'm happy with my life.

I'm happy with a person, I'm happy with him

or I'm happy with her.

I'm happy with my family,

so it can either be a person or something.

But something that you feel good about.

Obsessed with, obsessed being something

you can't stop thinking about.

Maybe your obsessed with famous person,

or you're obsessed with a tv program.

I'm obsessed with Angelina Jolie, or

I'm obsessed with the Simpsons, or

I'm obsessed with South Park.

It could be a program on the television or a person

that you can't stop thinking about and you're

always watching them or looking for

them or reading about them.

You're obsessed with this or it

could also be food, you could be

obsessed with chocolate,

you can't stop eating it.

You might say you're addicted to it rather than obsessed.

Preoccupied with, so preoccupied being

something that you can't stop thinking about.

It's on your mind and you're here in body,

but your mind is somewhere else.

I'm preoccupied with my job, so

maybe it's the weekend, you're off

and your relaxing in a cafe, but

you're thinking about your job.

So you're preoccupied with your job.

Something that you are thinking about in your head

is somewhere else but your body's here.

So these are 4 different adjectives.

About, at, of and with. 4 common adjectives

and some prepositions that come before those adjectives.
